LYC purchased the latest ADINA finite element analysis software to complement their existing bearing stress analysis techniques. This software enables LYC to calculate in detail the bearing’s largest stress and strains by simulating the actual working condition in three dimensional graphics. This data is used in the bearing’s design and failure analysis so as to obtain optimum efficiency and longevity in operation. LYC are applying these software applications in great detail to the analysis of Slewing Bearing Designs.
